Synopsis

Green Lantern is in Star City when he stops a young teenager from beating up a man, sending the teen to the police station. However the onlookers despise him for this, booing and pelting him with garbage as Green Arrow looks on from the rooftop. He then gives Hal a tour of the abysmal conditions the poor tenants are forced to live in,revealing the argument he broke up was dealing with the landlord preparing to evict everyone and sell the property to become a parking lot. Green Lantern is then confronted by an elderly old African American man who asks him why he hasn't done anything for the "black skins," to which the Lantern has no answer but spurs him to help with the situation in the city.Lantern then charges his Ring before heading to the penthouse of the land lord where despite an hour of pleading he still refuses,losing his temper he proceeds to punch out the man's muscle however he is called away by a Guardian who decides the man to be innocent and the Lantern must return to Oa.The assembled Guardians then begin to chastise Green Lantern over his attack of the business man,the Guardians then send him to prevent a meteor shower from destroying Titan and to wait there until summoned however the old man's words still fresh in his mind he disobeys heading for where he is needed most.While back in the penthouse Green Arrow has arrived where he attempts to extort $25,000 from the man in exchange for the "health of his boys" Slade then agrees to pay, and two set a meeting for midnight at an abandoned store. That night Slade's thugs arrive where they open fire on Green Arrow,however he defeats them but in the process the tape recorder he was using to gather evidence is destroyed.However Lantern comes up with a plan using his ring to disguise him as Slade's thug he manages to trick him into confessing in front of Jermey the District Attorney. He is then promptly arrested for his various crimes.Following this Green Arrow and Green Lantern meet with the Guardians who chastise...
